MEDIA SPONSOR: We are delighted to inaugurate on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m ., the Easter festive group exhibition “To the Sound of the Bell” featuring painting, sculpture, photography, mosaic, jewelry, and decorative arts. Exhibition Curator: Annita Patsouraki – Art Historian The art exhibition “To the Sound of the Bell” is a depiction of religious architecture, while at the same time a study of the Greek soul. Small chapels, roadside shrines, humble whitewashed churches with blue domes, solitary and remote, stand resilient against time. Scattered throughout the Greek countryside, they are a living repository of our cultural wealth and heritage. Built from stone, earth, and water, coated in lime, without ornamentation or elaborate icon screens, they await the passerby—the weary, the sorrowful, the desperate, the persecuted, the lonely—anyone seeking comfort, strength, protection, and hope, or simply offering a prayer of gratitude. These small churches represent the meeting point of heaven and earth in an eternal, silent prayer. They offer consolation, companionship through the flickering oil lamp as a symbol of hope, and the gentle glow of candles embracing the soul. They embody devotion, humility, and patience in the face of time’s decay, their worn walls breathing alongside nature. Their simplicity bows before the divine essence. They carry the sweet melancholy of Holy Week, transformed into light in anticipation of the Resurrection. The sound of their bells—devotional, gentle, sorrowful, peaceful, soothing, compassionate, moving, awakening, and joyful—offers a privileged connection to God. Their symbolic presence conveys divine reflection. Their sound brings joy to the heart, serenity to the soul, and awakens religious faith. The exhibition “To the Sound of the Bell” is technically multifaceted. Works of painting, sculpture, mosaic, photography, jewelry, and decorative objects are inspired by a shared theme and Easter symbolism. These creations, rich in expressive immediacy, convey lived experience, activate personal memory, and present balanced compositions with clarity of design, descriptive skill, and nostalgic sensitivity. Naturalistic elements prevail, without embellishment, highlighting traditional religious architecture alongside elements of folk art and tradition. Through expressive power, truth is sought along a luminous and hopeful path. The modest and humble image conveys its intrinsic strength. Universal concerns, meanings, and questions become accessible, offering emotional warmth and shelter. The 31 participating artists, each with unique experiences and diverse techniques, come together under a shared theme, expressing a collective spirit and conveying a significant legacy of values and common visions. They approach the subject with sensitivity, emotion, and respect. Their compositions arise from inner intensity and radiate calm endurance, light, hope, generosity, and refined feeling. The sacred space, symbolically charged with harmony and balance, embraces human emotions and the coordinates of the soul. A sense of devotion prevails; inner reflection deepens; emotion becomes profound and spontaneous, leading to contemplation and self-awareness. The dazzling white and endless blue of the sky reach a sublime state, embodying ultimate harmony and bliss. Time, intangible and eternal, is imprinted upon the materiality of nature and humanity. An Easter journey through small chapels, where humble light shines—celebrated by poets and scholars: “THE LITTLE CHURCH” “High upon the mountain there stands a lonely chapel, its bell does not ring, it has no chanter nor priest. A dim oil lamp and a stone cross are its only humble adornments. Yet the passerby, as he goes by, pauses and reverently bows, kissing the white cross with devotion. Upon that cross lies a sacred image, written in blood by God Himself, and worshipped by the people.” Aggelos Vlachos (1838–1920), writer, diplomat, politician The exhibition “To the Sound of the Bell” is an invitation to a journey of personal “Resurrection,” as each person experiences, awaits, and envisions it. Happy Easter to all! FEBRUARY 17 - MARCH 7, 2026 CHINESE NEW YEAR PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, SCULPTURE & JEWELRY PARTICIPATING ARTISTS: LIN IOANNA | DAVVETAS DEMOSTHENES BELE BADIA | GEORGOUDAKIS CHRISTOS Antigoni Pagona – Andie Art Gallery cordially invites you to the festive exhibition for the “Chinese New Year ”, featuring a visual dialogue in painting by the artists: Ioanna Lin – Demosthenes Davvetas Opening: Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Artists’ performance accompanied by music: 8:00 p.m. Honorary Participation: Nadia Bele – Christos Georgoudakis Curated by: Annita Patsouraki – Art Historian “Every nation in the world possesses a unique history and cultural memory. Knowledge of history, along with the spiritual treasure of art and culture, encompasses all the beautiful ideals of the world that shape its continuity into the future. The Chinese New Year , also known as the ‘Spring Festival ,’ is the most important traditional national celebration in China. It is a movable feast, as it follows the Chinese lunar calendar, taking place on the day of the second new moon after the winter solstice. It usually falls between January and February, and each year is named after an animal within a sixty-year cycle. The celebration is connected with ancient legends and myths and originally marked the beginning of the new spring season, the cultivation of the land, and the productive harvest. Over the centuries, it evolved and was enriched with philosophical and religious influences from Confucian teachings and Buddhism, embracing beliefs associated with attracting good fortune, renewal, harmony, unity, and hope. The festival is officially celebrated for fifteen days and has gained global recognition as a cultural event of outstanding heritage and timeless value. Throughout the country, decorations in the symbolic red color prevail, spectacular fireworks illuminate the skies, and rituals featuring mythical figures dominate the celebrations. Food preparation follows specific traditions and symbolic combinations intended to attract prosperity, longevity, and abundance (steamed buns, fish, vegetable rolls, pork). Family reunification is of paramount importance, accompanied by authentic customs deeply rooted in respect, blending ancient traditions with contemporary lifestyles. During the festive period, the country comes to a near-complete halt in professional activities, with a global impact on exports across all sectors. Today, the celebration is firmly established throughout Asia and has achieved worldwide resonance, with numerous events dedicated to the understanding of Chinese culture. For 2026, the Chinese New Year lasts from Tuesday, February 17, to Saturday, March 7, marking the Year of the Fire Horse, a symbol of powerful energy, transformation, success, and good fortune. The arts contribute to the defense of the fundamental values of human life. Creators of the spirit, through imagination and aesthetic vision, perpetuate the humanistic ideal. They draw inspiration from the past while giving form to the active present. Humanity and nature move together in creation, guided by the timeless universal questions of existence. Across the philosophical records of all civilizations, we find shared perceptions of human existence. In the pursuit of harmony and balance between soul and body, human happiness and well-being are sought. The Eurasian perspective is shaped by a sincere dialogue of timeless messages. It supports history, traditions, and moral values, safeguarding its cultural wealth. The visual coexistence of painters Ioanna Lin and Demosthenes Davvetas raises ancient yet perpetually relevant questions through contemporary expression. A creative dialogue unfolds, with shared perspectives as well as diverse expressions and artistic media, forming an engaging encounter. Ioanna Lin fully embodies the traditional culture and art of her homeland. She welcomes the “Spring Festival” inspired by nature, birds, and flowers, while her calligraphies convey auspicious wishes for the New Year. An airy dance of refined color harmonies, light forms, and meticulously crafted design reveals the elegance and discipline of her traditional knowledge. Demosthenes Davvetas, combining his multifaceted erudition, emerges as an inventive creator in both painting and poetic expression. The recognition of his work in distant China and his comparative philosophical study of the fundamental principles shared by Socrates and Confucius guide us toward self-awareness and the innate human sense of joy and beauty in life. Honorary Participation Nadia Bele presents a golden piece of jewelry: a horse’s head, the talisman of the year. Christos Georgoudakis showcases an impressive carved wooden horse, the symbol of the year. All participating creators share common visions and, through a collective spirit, present works of profound artistic imagination. They embody a distinguished intellectual culture, approaching knowledge—an integral part of the world’s cultural heritage—with sensitivity, emotion, respect, and scholarly research. With great pleasure, we inaugurate on Friday, May 8, 2026 , at 7:00 p.m. , the group exhibition “A Flower for A Poem” painting, sculpture, photography, mosaic, jewelry, decorative objects Curated by: Annita Patsouraki – Art Historian Curatorial Note for the Exhibition “A Flower for a Poem” The visual arts and poetry constitute one of the most fascinating expressions of the “sister arts,” where artistic forms interpret, recreate, and shape spiritual inspiration and poetic language. The thematic visual art exhibition “A Flower for a Poem” seeks to express the inner human need, the subconscious dimension, and the psychological composition that are visually articulated, formally structured, chromatically defined, and conceptually interpreted through depictions of plants, flowers, and landscapes. Flowers, as a timeless symbol of emotional expression—from antiquity to the present day, across all cultures, in myths, fairy tales, and legendary love stories—are transformed into a spiritual embodiment of nature, elevated and celebrated, aiming to evoke awe and emotion. Contemporary visual artists from various disciplines, with diverse starting points and creative journeys, come together within a shared thematic framework, employing a wide variety of artistic media and techniques. Painting meets photography and mosaic, engaging in dialogue with sculpture, ceramics, and functional decorative objects, while imaginative jewelry made from original materials and handcrafted techniques adds further beauty. Works of spontaneous expressive completeness in both ideas and techniques create a thematic unity of knowledge and awakened senses, encompassing a wide range of creations—figurative, abstract, and symbolic—expressing a collective artistic presence. The artistic flowers are inspired by poems of distinguished poets, connected to emblematic poetic verses, and often engage in dialogue with the artist themselves, who may create both visual art and poetry, expressing their multifaceted identity. Each artwork is accompanied by the verse or poem that inspired its creation—and vice versa—serving as an interpretive key to its existence, leaving the viewer with strong feelings of romanticism and sensitivity. In the exhibition “A Flower for a Poem,” the flower ceases to be a simple decorative element and becomes a visual verse, a bearer of memory and emotion, demonstrating that in the visual arts the flower is the word that refuses to remain silent—transforming fragrance into color and the rhythm of poetry into brushstroke. An engaging dialogue of arts unfolds through the interaction of ideas, sequences of reflections, and parallel associations that narrate and depict nature with a contemporary perspective, imprinting a distinctive mark of collectible value. With the encouragement, “If you cannot find spring, you create it!” by our Nobel Prize–winning poet Odysseas Elytis, from his work Axion Esti, I wish you a blossoming, fragrant May! Annita Patsouraki Art Historian Note: The exhibition was first presented, under the same curation and with the participation of 29 painters, during the summer months of 2019 at the Aqua Gallery of the Art Hotel in Pyrgos, Santorini, within the framework of the “Cultural Tourism” program.
